I was born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and I love to spend as much time in the outdoors as possible! Whether it is camping, water sports, hiking, driving around in the UTV, or something else, there is always something fun to do here.
While the area I live in has a lot to offer, I also want to explore the world! I feel so fortunate that I have found a business that allows me the freedom pick up and go wherever and whenever I want. But it wasn’t always like that…
My Backstory:
My first dream was to become a teacher. I wanted to make a difference in the lives of my students by igniting a love and passion for learning. Upon graduation I found an awesome job teaching elementary students, but after 6 years the stress got to me, and I had reached burnout. This was not beneficial to me or my students, so I decided to start a journey climbing corporate ladders. I was hoping I could attain the financial security that would allow me to live the lifestyle I desired. After 8 years spent climbing the money was respectable, but I was working well over 40 hours a week with limited time off. I found myself drifting through life on autopilot waiting for my once-a-year getaway vacation to feel alive and rejuvenated.
Tipping Point:
Like so many others in 2020, I found my life dramatically changed. I was in my mid-thirties, had recently gone through a divorce, been furloughed, and then laid off due to Covid. As I began reading the descriptions of available jobs, I realized that nothing was satisfying. I had discovered a new pace of life outside the 9-5 while furloughed and started to recognize how much I had been missing. I wanted a career that would not only be financially rewarding, but also meaningful while providing a good work/life balance.
